Comic-Con 2012 Recap Part 4: Hot Toys Marvel & DC

Recap #4 from Comic-Con 2012 covers the Hot Toys items from Comic-Con 2012. Hot Toys had all of the currently released items from The Avengers and even brought with them the new Mark VII figure. Seeing all of these characters together made me very happy that I will have several of these items in my collection. Also PreViewed on Hot Toys Facebook page fans got a chance to see two more items coming from The Avengers. The two new items are a figure for Agent Coulson and a Chitari Footsoldier. You can still Pre-Order all of these through Sideshow Collectibles by using an affiliate link. Hot Toys also had some awesome DC items there as well with their Batman figures from TDKR, TDK, and even a classic Batmobile.

Comic-Con 2012 Recap Part 3: Sideshow Collectibles Marvel & DC

Today, I’ve got more from the Sideshow Collectibles booth with their Marvel and DC items. Sideshow this year showed again they’ve got the skills when it comes to Marvel and really surprised me with a DC offering that I will be getting a few from. Marvel wise the Iron Man Mark VI LSB was fantastic to see in person as was the Hulk Maquette from The Avengers. Maybe the most impressive Marvel piece though was the LSF of Dr. Doom himself and has been shown on Sideshow site this item will have switch out sculpts. DC fans should be jumping for joy with the items that Sideshow had at Comic-Con with the Superman 1:1 bust, Superman PF, Batman PF, Green Lantern PF, and the amazing 1:6th figures Sideshow had on display. These comic based figures are a must if you’re a fan of these characters. As more info is released on them I will make sure you know.

Sideshow Collectbiles Online Comic-Con Day 13

Day 13 of Sideshow Collectibles Online Comic-Con turned out to be lucky for fans of The Lord of the Rings, DC, Star Wars and Avatar. Fans of The Lord of the Rings get to finally pre-order the Twilight Witch-King statue from The Fellowship of the Ring. This superb statue is a great counter part to the Ringwraith statue released previously in this range of collectibles. The Witch-King will cost $275 with a $27 NRD but you do have the Flex-Pay program to save up for the March 2013 release. Fans of the Star Wars Saga get a pre-order and a preview during day 13 of the event. The Pre-Order is the cooler of the Fetts in my opinion in Jango Fett with a 1:1 bust. This highly detailed bust will cost $800 with a $80 NRD as always you have the flex pay program to help defer the costs until the February 2013 release. The preview is for my personal favorite Jedi in the Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi. No details other than this great preivew below but as soon as I get more info I will pass it on. DC fans get a preview of the upcoming Catwoman Legendary Scale Figure and Avatar fans get a preview of the life size bust of Neytiri.

Sideshow Collectibles Online Comic-Con Day 12

Day twelve brings us two items from the DC Universe in two different scales to boot. From Sideshow Collectibles we get the Poison Ivy Premium Format. This stunning collectible comes in with a price tag of $350, a $35 NRD, and changeout man eating blooms for the exclusive collector. No matter if you decide to get the exclusive version or the regular you will have time to save up or stretch things out with Sideshow’s flex pay plan. The other DC item folks can order is from Hot Toys and the next big thing this summer The Dark Knight Rises. The figure coming to collectors is Batman himself in DX format. This thing comes loaded with multiple sculpts for the face of the masked version, maskless sculpt, hands, and other goodies. This figure will set ya back $260 with a $26 NRD charged shortly after purcahse. However, you can also flex pay this figure which will help spread things out before its December release.

Sideshow Collectibles Online Comic-Con Even Day 6

Day 6 of Sideshow Collectibles Online Comic-Con event brings us a great looking LSF and a preview of an upcoming DC Premium Format. The newest Legendary Scale Figure announced by Sideshow is from their The Dead license and is the character The Reaper: Death’s General. This is an amazing collectible that I had the chance to see last year during Sideshow Freaks party. It is totally worth the $1,000 price tag simply based on the size, detail, and presence it will have in your collection. This piece does come with multiple heads based on the picture I have for you, multiple switch out arms, and as I said detailed like crazy. Of course this has an NRD of $200 but you will then be able to flex pay the rest of it to save the hit on your wallet. Also teased today via their Facebook page is the an upcoming DC Premium Format of Poison Ivy. No other information is available but my guess is this will be at Comic-Con

Hot Toys Superman Review

Alright, after having this for a while I’m finally reviewing the Hot Toys Superman figure. As I said in my video this is one of the best Superman figures ever and even more so because part of the money goes to the Christopher Reeves foundation. While maybe a bit lighter on extras the detail, paint, and outfit of the figure really put this thing over the top. He’s still in-stock at Sideshow and if you’re wanting to add it to your collection do so now!

Sideshow Collectibles Spooktacular Wrap Up

The 2011 version of Sideshow Collectibles Spooktacular event has come to an end and what an event it was in 2011. Star Wars fans got plenty of love with multiple items and previews and Ringers also got a nice treat with a brand new maquette announcement. Marvel and DC fans were not left out either with amazing pieces coming from those licenses.

The Lord of the Rings maquette line got a great announcement and the first bad guy announced in this line so far with the Ringwraith/Witch King maquette. This awesome piece captures the Witch King as he’s on weathertop moving towards Frodo about to stab him. The exclusive item on this piece is a switch out right hand holding the dagger completing the Witch King look. The exclusive and regular will cost $250 and have a NRD of $25. This piece will ship to collectors sometime during Quarter 3 of next year.

Star Wars fans got several items for order as I said ranging from nearly every line that Sideshow Collectibles has. From the 1:6th line for an instock purchase fans get a chance to order the Utapau Shadow Trooper and a pre-order of the Holiday Yoda both of which I talked about already. Also in Sideshow’s production blog we got a great video of the upcoming The Phantom Menace Obi-wan Kenobi 1:6th figure. Premium Format collectors got a chance to order Grand Moff Tarkin and I-TO Interrogator Droid which is a stunning piece to add to your collection. Tarken and his droid will set ya back $350 with a $35 NRD charged within 24-48 hours after your orders have been placed. No edition size has been announced but this will be shipping in the second quarter of next year. Finally, a preview for those who collect life sized items with the Darth Malgus 1:1 figure from the new Knights of the Old Republic

Comic-Book collectors got a couple of really awesome pieces from the world of Marvel and DC. From Marvel we get the really badass looking Colossus Premium Format. Colossus will cost you $400 and have a NRD of $40 charged shortly after your purchase. The exclusive of Colossus is a switch out portrait and a really cool print to complete an amazing item. No edition size has been announced but he is due to ship in Q2 of 2012. DC and more specifically Batman fans get a chance to Pre-Order a life sized bust of the caped crusader himself. This bust comes with a price tag of $680 and a NRD of $68 charged after your purchase but you’ll have to wait until Q2 of next year to get your bust.
