Hot Toys has announced yet another figure from this Summers blockbuster The Avegners. The next character getting the “official” preview is one of the super spies of the team Black Widow. Just from what we can see in this preview this figure is looking to be even better than the last Black Widow figure from Iron Man 2. No word yet on price or details on the figure but as soon as I see them I will pass them on to you.
Until then here is the preview:
Thank you everyone who takes the time to check this blog out! You help make all the time put into giving you the news worth it and are the reason why I love sharing my passion. I hope that 2012 is a fantastic year for you and one you’ll never forget for good reasons.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 21,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
Days seven and eight bring us items from Marvel and World of Warcraft. Marvel collectors get their items from two different format with the Magik comicquette and the Black Widow Premium Format from Iron Man 2. Both items look really freaking cool in their preview images and as soon as I get more info via the SS newsletter or their facebook page I will let you all know. If you’re a gamer and a fan of WoW then this next item is for you. The Athras Statue gives fans of WoW an amazing item to add to their various other collectibles based on one of the most popular game series. As always stay tuned and as I know you’ll know.
Day 6 of Sideshow Collectibles 12 days of Sideshow brings us an unexpected announcement. Sideshow will be making a PF of Baby Doll from the movie Sucker Punch. This movie was really quite fun and visually beyond what most movies brought to the table in 2011. This will be one of those pieces that fans of the movie should do themselves a favor and snag when it goes up for order.
The 2011 version of Sideshow Collectibles Spooktacular event has come to an end and what an event it was in 2011. Star Wars fans got plenty of love with multiple items and previews and Ringers also got a nice treat with a brand new maquette announcement. Marvel and DC fans were not left out either with amazing pieces coming from those licenses.
The Lord of the Rings maquette line got a great announcement and the first bad guy announced in this line so far with the Ringwraith/Witch King maquette. This awesome piece captures the Witch King as he’s on weathertop moving towards Frodo about to stab him. The exclusive item on this piece is a switch out right hand holding the dagger completing the Witch King look. The exclusive and regular will cost $250 and have a NRD of $25. This piece will ship to collectors sometime during Quarter 3 of next year.
Star Wars fans got several items for order as I said ranging from nearly every line that Sideshow Collectibles has. From the 1:6th line for an instock purchase fans get a chance to order the Utapau Shadow Trooper and a pre-order of the Holiday Yoda both of which I talked about already. Also in Sideshow’s production blog we got a great video of the upcoming The Phantom Menace Obi-wan Kenobi 1:6th figure. Premium Format collectors got a chance to order Grand Moff Tarkin and I-TO Interrogator Droid which is a stunning piece to add to your collection. Tarken and his droid will set ya back $350 with a $35 NRD charged within 24-48 hours after your orders have been placed. No edition size has been announced but this will be shipping in the second quarter of next year. Finally, a preview for those who collect life sized items with the Darth Malgus 1:1 figure from the new Knights of the Old Republic
Comic-Book collectors got a couple of really awesome pieces from the world of Marvel and DC. From Marvel we get the really badass looking Colossus Premium Format. Colossus will cost you $400 and have a NRD of $40 charged shortly after your purchase. The exclusive of Colossus is a switch out portrait and a really cool print to complete an amazing item. No edition size has been announced but he is due to ship in Q2 of 2012. DC and more specifically Batman fans get a chance to Pre-Order a life sized bust of the caped crusader himself. This bust comes with a price tag of $680 and a NRD of $68 charged after your purchase but you’ll have to wait until Q2 of next year to get your bust.
Today, we get a preview video of an upcoming Lord of the Rings piece and a Pre-Order from the movie RoboCop. From Lord of the Rings we get the Snow Troll Statue which is absolutely huge looking in the video I will link for you. This character comes from the War in the North video game that will arrive in September of this year. In the video we also get great looks at the upcoming Arwen maquette and what her exclusive will be along with a great look at the Boromir Maquette.
Robocop one of the cooler action movies from the 80’s is getting a life sized bust. Made by Fred Barton this piece captures the armored cop in all his glory. Robocop will come with a price tag of $850 and an NRD of $85 but will look great any any collection he enters. No edition size has been announced and he will not be shipping until the 4th quarter of this year.
Day three of Sideshow’s online event brings us another preview for an upcoming Premium Format. The character folks will have a chance to add to their collection is Vampirella who has previously had a maquette from Sideshow. Fans of this character will want to stay tuned to the coverage of the event when this goes up for Pre-Order to add to their Vampirella Collection.
Besides the Art Prints I shared yesterday I also have several Art Books, Photo Books, and Film Cells in my collection. These two me are even as cool as the art prints due to you getting all these great pieces of art but lots of information regarding the subject of the book. They’re great in that they just allow you to get inside information and get to know more about the topic.
For a while now I’ve had some art prints stored away. I didn’t have anything to put them in or haven’t had time to get them framed. Recently during Comic-Con 2010 I managed to pick up some more prints by folks like J. Scott Campbell, olivier coipel, Adam Hughes, Matt Busch, and others. I also have items coming from Mark Brooks, Robert Atkins, and Mike Perkins. These go with prints from Jerry Vanderstelt and Tyler Stout among others.
So I figured since I’ve started taking pictures of these pieces I’d start sharing those on here.
