Sideshow Collectibles GI Joe Rock N Roll 1:6th Review

First review in a while and this time we got to Sideshow Collectibles GI Joe 1:6th license with the character Rock N Roll. This is a great figure and yet another job where Sideshow shows they have the skills to really kick butt in the 1:6th figure realm. I truly believe this is the best figure from this license when you look at sculpt, paint, detail, extras, etc. It was $135 well spent so make sure you get this figure before he jumps up in price.

Sideshow Collectibles Newsletter For March 8th, 2012

Today’s Sideshow Collectibles newsletter is packed with great information. Collectors of The Nightmare on Elm Street series get to add a great looking Freddy Krueger Premium Format. Marvel fans are going to storm Sideshow’s site tonight to get their hands on one of the best looking female PF’s that we’ve seen to date with the Storm PF. If you’re a fan of the World of Warcraft then you will want to make sure you figure out to fit the Arthas statue to their collections.

However, the big hit of this newsletter is the announcement of the Snake Eyes with Timber 1:6th figure set. This is the second time Sideshow has done the character of Snake Eyes in this format but the first time we’ve gotten him in this outfit. Just from what we can see in the preivew this figure is going to be an absolute must have for any Joe fan. Snake Eyes will preview on Tuesday with the pre-order next Thursday.

Year In Review For The Pulse in 2011

Thank you everyone who takes the time to check this blog out! You help make all the time put into giving you the news worth it and are the reason why I love sharing my passion. I hope that 2012 is a fantastic year for you and one you’ll never forget for good reasons.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 21,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Sideshow Collectibles 12 Days of Sideshow Days 1-3

Well, the 12 Days of Sideshow have started again! As of now we’re only three days in and Sideshow has already made a couple of fanbases quite happy with awesome previews. Star Wars fans have gotten a preview for a very cool looking life size Darth Malgus figure from Knights of the Old Republic. Now word on price yet but as soon as I know I will make sure you know. GI Joe fans have also gotten a very interesting preview of an upcoming joe product or more specifically Cobra product. I’m not sure if its statue or premium format but I believe the character is Storm Shadow.

As always stay tuned and I’ll keep ya updated.

Sideshow Collectibles GI Joe General Hawk Review

Recently, the latest GI Joe figure from Sideshow Collectibles hit my collection with that being none other than General Hawk himself. Hawk is one of my favorite old school GI Joe characters and having been so impressed with the proto I can say that this really matches the proto. This figure really shows the steps Sideshow has taken this year with their paint apps and where they’re headed in the future.

Yesterday, in Sideshow Collectibles Newsletter we got pre-orders, previews, and surprise items up for grabs. For Pre-Order folks can snag the very cool Invincible Iron Man 1:1 bust that was shown all the way back to Comic-Con 2011. This awesome Iron Man collectible is gonna cost $750 with a $75 NRD but start saving up now and getting it in Q2 of 2012 shouldn’t be a problem. The surprise items that folks can pre-order are from the worlds of Star Wars and GI Joe. From Star Wars we get two figures from Medicom the R5-D4 and 4Lom figures both of which did look quite nice at Comic-Con 2011. The GI Joe or more specifically Cobra item is the Desert Officer. Now, this figure was at Comic-Con as well and man did he look freaking great and after receiving the Desert Sniper this figure is a must. He will set you back $100 bucks and will be shipping this month.

The big item in this weeks Sideshow Collectibles newsletter is a preview of the upcoming Boba Fett 1:6th figure. We’ve already seen a video preview of this figure during Comic-Con 2011 and this preview is sure to only amp up people wanting to add Boba to their collection. As a matter of fact Boba will be a PPO next Friday as Sideshow like myself expects this one to have a ton demand. So make sure you’re qualified for next weeks PPO so you don’t miss out.
